Fat is the Preferred Fuel…

Here is a great article on why healthy fats, lean protein & tons of veggies are soo important for a healthy human metabolism. This particular article doesn’t love grains and explains this in detail. My take is when you do eat grains eat them as close to the source as possible and follow the 80/20 rule. 80% of your diet should consist of vegetables, healthy fats, lean protein, legumes, fruit (low glycemic), nuts & seeds. 20% or less can come from grains, complex carbs, a drink or two and an occassional treat.
