What does it mean to be 'FIT'?

Amy’s philosophy is BALANCE…Balance is the key to long term health & wellness.  You can wreak havoc on your system if you do too much or too little of the following: Eating, Exercise, Sleeping, Drinking (water or alcohol), Stress, Work, Play or even Relax.  Finding your perfect balance is Amy’s definition of a truly fit, healthy, wealthy & happy individual.

  • Excercise

    Start TODAY! Aim for at least 30 minutes of vigorous exercise most days of the week. Do not forget STRENGTH!  Muscle is the key to longevity.  Being STRONG in today's world could not be more important.  Aim for 2-3 strength workouts that bring your muscles to fatigue.  Get outside when you can!! Soak up the vitamin D, breath fresh air and embrace nature!

  • Nutrition

    Amy believes in a WHOLE FOOD unprocessed diet. She is gluten, dairy, soy FREE and really puts an emphasis on gut health. Nutrition is KEY to her clients success so she offers nutrition coaching while training her clients. Eat as close to the source as possible...

  • Sleep

    Aim for 7-9 hours each night.  Establish a routine!

  • Hydration

    Drink 75-100 ounces of filtered water each day.  Is your pea lightly colored??  If not - drink more! Aim for half of your body weight in ounces. If you sweat add a bit more. Adding raw ACV or fresh lemon to your water (do this first thing each morning) will help pH balance your body, get your system going, help you burn fat along with other health benefits.

  • Stress

    Stress is normal and some is healthy, but you must know how to manage it...MOVE that body! Exercise is the most underused antidepressant as it releases dopamine, our "feel good" hormone. Next time you feel down get in a quick workout!!

  • Work

    "Learn to work harder on yourself than you do in your job.  If you work harder at your job you will make a living.  If you work harder on yourself you will make a fortune."  Jim Rohn Work Smarter Not Harder - Amy's philosophy BALANCE here is KEY! Making "you" time is more important than ever in this increasingly busy world. Making time for yourself will make you a better wife/husband, parent, sibling. friend, boss, co-worker etc! I wake WAY before the sun rises to get in my run & quick circuit. I feel more balanced and ready to tackle my day. I often tell myself - wake before the sun and get your mind straight!!!

  • Play

    Laugh until your stomach hurts...Good for your soul!  Be a kid at the ocean, play family basketball, pretend you are a cheetah on a hike, color, play board games, read a fun book, unplug and PLAY!!!
