Balanced Meal

In order to feel satisfied at the end of a meal it is important to make sure your meal is balanced with a complex carbohydrate, lean protein and a healthy fat.  Here is an example of our balanced dinner last night:

Wild Cod
Sweet Potato Fries

Chickpea Cilantro Salad





When you eat a meal that is too high in fat particularly saturated fat you are going to be left feeling sluggish and stuffed.  When you eat a meal of only carbohydrates you are going to be hungry within 30 minutes.  A protein only meal will too leave you feeling unsatisfied and craving carbohydrates.

Balance each meal to assure you are feeling your best every day!

Sweet Potato Fries:
*1-2 sweet potatoes
*1 tbsp grape-seed oil

Slice potatoes into small wedges, coat w/ oil & salt, put on a baking stone and bake for 25 minutes at 400 deg.
