HOMEMADE Kombucha Gummy Bears!!!

My friend Alex took a cooking class from Vert Foods and learned how to make HOMEMADE kombucha gummy bears and shared the recipe with me.  I have been brewing my own kombucha for weeks now so I was ready to put it to use!!!

8 tablespoons Great Lakes unflavored gelatin
1 cup kombucha
3/4 cup pureed berries
1/2 cup honey or maple syrup (pure)

gummy bearsI found this gelatin on amazon.  It contains ELEVEN grams of protein and is very good for your gut!

Put 5 tablespoons of gelatin in 8 tablespoons of cold water.  Pour 12oz hot water, stir well until dissolved.  While stirring add 8 oz maple syrup or honey, 16oz of kombucha vinegar with some scoby & 3/4 cup pureed berries.  Stir everything together and then put in food grade silicon molds (I bought mine on amazon) and set in fridge for 30 minutes.  I had quite a bit left as my mold is small so I poured it into a casserole dish and then cut them into small squares later that day.

This snack is high in protein, low in sugar & great for your gut – a WIN WIN!!!
